Pretty, Pretty Princess

Our sitter had one pair of princess dress-up shoes. There are four little girls there. The ratio wasn't working, as they all LOVE the princess shoes. So one day last week she went out and bought a 4-pack of Disney princess shoes. When I arrived to pick Tessa up last Thursday, every single one of the girls was wearing their own pair. My child refused to take hers off, hence they came home with us that evening...and she wore them for hours! Things like this remind me that she is getting to be a big girl, and not really a baby any more. My mom and I stopped by Walmart this weekend to pick up a pair for our house. I made a rookie mom mistake of not getting the Disney ones. The brand I got was way too high of a heel for her, so I guess I'll be going back at some point to invest in the name brand princess shoe.

On another note, I am a bit bittersweet about the weather. I am loving that it is not summer weather, but it is getting awfully cold awfully quickly...

We are still taking our daily after school walks, but I'm hoping to keep it up for at least another month or so before it gets too cold. And I'm going to go ahead and blame the weather change on a little sore throat/runny nose thing Nate and I seem to have picked up.

Tessa is such a girly girl. I love it. I also love how she talks to me on the phone everyday, or at least listens. She is growing up! Grandpa and I are looking forward to lots of Tessa time next weekend.
