Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was hormones, but I'm feeling better today. The sun was shining, it actually reached 80 degrees, and we headed into downtown Minneapolis for the first time. Today's adventure included a trip to the Walker Art Center and sculpture garden. This was a great place to take the kids. Lots of open grass for Morgan to run around in and best of all, it was free!
Oops! Tessa may have climbed on one of the sculptures before we saw the sign advising not to do that.
Before the sculpture garden, yet somehow in the middle of my pictures, we stopped in to see Daddy at work and enjoyed lunch in the corporate Target offices. Very chi chi! Tessa loved the large glass mosaic of Spot as we entered. Daddy was probably a little embarrassed at us "tourists" taking pictures in front of it. But all in all, very cool offices. We got to go to the Target store where they sell all sorts of Spots dressed in various ensembles. We even passed the office that looks like where you pick up that 10% off discount card. Hint, hint! Still waiting on mine...
And now, we are back at the garden. This was indoors in the conservatory part. More sculptures, along with plants.
Morgan enjoyed the water around the fish sculpture.
And this last one is probably the most well-known of the sculptures. It sprayed water from the top and even though it is in the middle of a lake, Tessa really wanted to put on her "baby suit" and go swimming in the sculpture.
The nicer weather definitely helped. And tomorrow, dare I say it, we may attempt to go swimming at the beach. The forecast says 80. Let's hope it's the truth!
