The Rest of the Weekend

Some of my earliest memories are from Kings Island.  We always had passes and I remember my parents taking me and my brothers when we were little that slowly transformed into trips with friends.  We've gone a few times over the past couple years with Tessa when we were able to get free tickets (thanks, Steve for all the free visits) and bought passes last fall for $49 a pass.  Tessa has asked at least once a week all winter when Kings Island opened, so she was thrilled we could finally go.  Opening day was cold.  And rainy.  But we managed to make it an hour and a half before the rain started, plenty of time to get a few rides in.  (And it is only 4 minutes from our house, so it's not like we wasted a day to spend an hour there).  I'm pretty sure this is Morgan's favorite ride:
And Tessa enjoyed some of the bigger rides with Daddy.
Saturday night we celebrated Uncle Brian's 16th birthday and Morgan was ecstatic that Brian let him help blow out the candles.  Morgan loves birthdays these days!
Speaking of Morgan's birthday, one of his gifts was this awesome mobile from my mom and dad.  He keeps staring at it and repeating, "Wow!"
Here is a close up.  They found it at a specialty toy shop in Batesville when visiting Cortny's family and it is just perfect for our little guy.
Yesterday it finally warmed up and Tessa was able to ride her bike outside for a bit.  She is still very hesitant on it and doesn't like the fact that it is "wobbly."  For the record, it is not really wobbly.  She just doesn't want to fall.
And Morgan was able to enjoy one of his favorite outdoor activities - squirting anything and everything with his water bottle.  Simple, but keeps him occupied for a long time.
And while spraying things was fun while it lasted, it also led to a tantrum of epic proportions when I made him come inside for dinner.  Don't love the tantrums, though I do love these little ones!

(And...all of these were from my cell phone, which I've been using as my exclusive "camera" for awhile now.  The difference is amazing!)

Cate doesn't like the wobbly bike feeling either.

I am in love with that mobile!
