A few pictures from our nature walk at Glenwood Gardens...
We learned an important lesson on Monday - check the website before leaving home. Nate and I have been wanting to take the kids to Glenwood Gardens. One of our neighbors raves about it and it is a relatively cheap (and close-to-home) activity. We headed out Monday and were pretty much the only people there. And when we tried to get into the gate and the door was locked, we were a bit confused. Until we read the sign: Closed Mondays. Fortunately, the entire visit wasn't a wash, as they do have some beautiful trails that were open, so the four of us headed on a nature walk. (In case you are wondering, Nate took the week off to help with childcare while I had a couple of workdays for school since our sitter doesn't do the workdays). Morgan was a trooper at the gardens, and a trooper again today when we went to the zoo. Poor little guy gets carted around quite a bit...
As a sidenote, we did end up heading back to Glenwood Gardens on Tuesday when they were open and Tessa had a great time. It is a very cute little place for kids. She especially loved the area where you can fill up a bucket and water the plants...we'll be back soon!
