I Will do Better....

I can't tell you how many people have told me I need to do a better job at updating the blog. I will be honest. I have been busy. I am not sure how single mothers do it because I have been one busy woman! Taking care of these two little stinkers is a full-time job:
That doesn't mean we haven't had a lot of fun. Now that the house has sold, it's been nice to just relax and not stress out about how clean the house is or vacuuming the house every day. In fact, it's been a little less clean around the house than it even normally is. We have the movers coming March 28th and then I will be heading to live with my mom and dad until the school year ends in June. It will be nice to have help, and Grandma is planning several shopping trips with just the girls. (Morgan will hang out with his buddy Papa). Not sure what he is doing in this picture below...I don't remember him being scared at the time, but he sure does look it in the picture.
And speaking of letting the housework slack, I finally, finally cleaned all the little fingerprints off the bottom of the TV. Let's just say Morgan really enjoys the TV, or at least putting his little paws on it.
And to leave you with a Sunday funny, I feel like this scene from earlier today would have been a perfect scenario for the sitcom Modern Family: my cell phone went missing earlier in the day and I couldn't find it when we left for the mall around 1:00, followed by dropping Nate off at the airport, and dinner with my parents. I assumed I'd find it at home. I was wrong. While searching, Tessa mentioned she, "Maybe hid it somewhere, mommy." I asked her several times where she hid it and got lackluster responses. I knew my phone was on either silent or vibrate from earlier in the day, but nevertheless called it several times from the house phone. No signs of my beloved phone anywhere. Verizon was called and they informed me that there had been activity throughout the day on my cell phone, both ingoing and outgoing calls. Immediately, I knew it had to have been stolen because I had not had it with me all day. I reported it lost or stolen and it was inactivated. I was furious someone had taken my phone and was using it. And I was especially furious that they weren't answering when I called it.

I put the kids to bed with a pit in the bottom of my stomach (with all the craziness of moving I was NOT looking forward to buying a new cell phone) and then remembered that we had kept an old Verizon phone for emergency purposes. It wasn't a smart phone, which I recently got and am addicted to, but it would do. I got it out and began the charging process and then went to put away a loose pen in the kitchen drawer that holds Tessa's barrettes and toothbrush. And there it was! She had hidden it! Now I am curious why Verizon said there was activity throughout the day on my call. That I'll save for tomorrow...

Please! I haven't updated my blog since December. Seattleites feel well informed from the Palmer blog -- I think you're doing just fine. We'll take any update we get.
