Last Sunday was Grandma's birthday. Tessa insisted on getting her a Sleeping Beauty card for her birthday, complete with a punch-out crown. We all took turns wearing it...
I made a delicious flourless chocolate cake. I was quite proud of myself. It may not look super-fancy below, but it certainly tasted good and it looked quite beautiful with some homemade whipped cream and Heath topping. Yum! I think I've already gained five pounds back since living here!
Morgan spent a good chunk of her birthday dinner with a lid over his face. Boys...
And to add to Morgan's boy personality, he moved a stool over to the washing machine the other afternoon and climbed up. It was on, but Morgan delighted in lifting up the lid (so everything stopped) and then putting it back down again (so it started back up). Silly guy! I do not remember Tessa being quite so inquisitive.
I still can't believe how hot it is here. This second week of school wrapped up with weather in the triple digits. I picked the kids up from school and we headed to Lifetime for some swimming yesterday. Felt great to be in the pool! This weekend my brother and Cortny are in town from Seattle and we'll be celebrating baby Elliott with a shower and another get together. Going to be fun!
