Today totally felt like a Sunday, only it wasn't. Yesterday, on the real Sunday, we went to cousin Will's baptism at St. Gertrude and the following party at Aunt Sally's. Much to the girls' surprise, Tessa and Ellie were wearing the same dress! So cute! We took about five pictures of the two of them, and this one was the best. First, Ellie didn't want to get too close to Tessa because she was afraid Tessa would eat her cheese puffs, then Tessa wanted to be crawling. All I can say is, at least you can tell it's the same dress from this photo.

Today we spent most of the day at home. Sheri and Hana came for a play date. They were both surrounded by a plethora of toys...and they both chose to play with cell phones and remote controls. At 3:15, we headed to the pediatrician for Tessa's one year appointment. She was fine in the waiting room, but as soon as we entered the exam room, she freaked out. I was very thankful to have Nate with me. After the initial weight and height check (31 inches (95%) and 24 lb. 6 oz. (90-95%) for those who want to know), I filled up the exam room sink with water and let Tessa splash around while we waited for the doctor. I think Dr. Brown thought I was a little nuts. She said she'd never seen anyone do that before, but it sure did make our water baby happy. She did comment on her way out how she loved how in tune I was with her needs and finding something that would make her happy, so I'll take it as a compliment.
After our appointment, we headed to The Cheesecake Factory for an early dinner (courtesy of a Christmas gift card from our next door neighbors). Tessa was really into the stuffed animals. Nate and I were into the cheesecake.
