Busy Weekend

Well, Saturday morning, we woke up to rain.  I actually felt bad, as when I first woke up I let Lucy out back and it was dry.  As soon as I let her out, Tessa woke up.  I went up the get her, and changed her clothes, diaper, etc. only to come down to rescue Lucy, trembling against the back door, soaked to the bone from the rain that had started to downpour.  Mornings like that make me want to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie, so I thought we'd give 101 Dalmations another shot.  Believe it or not, Tessa actually watched it for nearly 20 minutes in her little chair.  I know she shouldn't watch a lot of TV, and I rarely have it on in front of her...but every once in awhile, it is nice.

The sun came out for a good portion of the afternoon, and Tessa was able to spend some time outside playing with the landscaping rocks.  She is obsessed with shoveling them into the bucket, then pouring them out.  Then repeat.
And we also snuck in an afternoon visit to Mimi and Pop, Nate's grandparents.  Tessa befriended a giant stuffed lamb.  I'm pretty sure she thought it was an alive dog for quite some time.  She spent the better part of the afternoon carrying the lamb around.  Too cute!

Tessa has a few new words: bunny (buh!), a very obvious NO, and possibly the start of thank you (tank).

TV can be a wonderful thing! Tessa, practice saying
G-R-A-N-D-M-A! I think that should be her next word.
