Christmas and Separation Anxiety

Me and my mom

Tessa with her first doll (I wanted to get her one before anyone else did!  Mission accomplished)

Man, oh man.  I think Christmastime helped Tessa reach a whole new peak of separation anxiety.  Fear and trepidation (and screams) filled the room as anyone tried to hold her at the festivities over the past few days.  Yesterday afternoon was probably the worst.  She really loves the mama.

Despite this, we had an awesome Christmas.  Tessa got tons of presents, and Nate and I have been enjoying playing with them with her.  Her favorites are the Laugh and Learn CD player and Busy Balltivity Center.  She also loved this mini basketball hoop set she got from my mom and dad, though we left it at their house and will get it soon.  Half of her presents ended up in the basement, and we'll bring them up slowly over the next couple of months.  I, personally, am psyched about the Step 2 Wagon Nate's mom and Steve got for her.  Thanks to all the family who made her first Christmas special.  Having a child really brings back the special feeling of Christmas for me.

It was a great Christmas! Especially having Uncle Mike and Aunt Cortny home. Right, Tessa?
