First, Tessa had (or didn't have pinkeye). Then, I started to get a cold. I've been sick for a good week now. Then Nate started feeling sick midway through the week. And Friday I picked up a snotty Tessa. Can't we all just be healthy? Seriously, I am grateful for good health and should not complain about the common cold, but I have had endless sinus infections since getting pregnant in early August and I am so ready for this baby to be here and to (hopefully) stop getting so many colds. I can't tell you how many days this year a student has started class by asking, "Are you sick again?" I even got asked once if I thought I would be there the next day because a student needed me to sign something. Per the 20-week ultrasound, baby boy looked perfect, which was a relief after my two rounds of amoxicillan, Tamiflu, and lots of Robitussin and Sudafed. Yikes...poor baby!
Despite the sickness, here are a couple of fun pictures. Tessa decided she wanted to get inside her stuffed animal holder. She did fit...and liked it even more once Daddy picked her up. And the last picture is of her two new best friends that I purchased for her last Sunday and she has gone a full week of taking them EVERYWHERE. They sleep with her, go to the sitter's, watch her eat, take baths with her. It is a tad obsessive, but the girl loves her princesses. I can only imagine our first trip to Disney...
As for baby boy, we are getting very excited! I scored big at The Children's Place this weekend where I got 36 items of clothing for next winter for baby boy and Tessa for $92. EVERYTHING winter in store was either $2.99 or $.99. SCORE! Tessa got so excited by one of her outfits, she had to put it on immediately last night...and then peed five minutes later in it and got upset. But the big winner was baby boy, as most of the clothes are for him. It made momma happy too, as I've been having a hard time finding boy clothes I actually like, and there were so many I liked! It is getting harder to keep his name a secret as we are getting more prepared, but so far so good. I bought the letters for the nursery walls last weekend and now we're pretty set on clothes. Speaking of good deals, I also bought my wide-footed little girl three new pairs of shoes on clearance at Stride Rite yesterday, plus had a 20% off coupon. Best deal on shoes I've gotten for her and now she is set for spring/summer and one of the pairs is adorable Ugg-like boots for next winter. Hopefully she'll grow out of the wides at some point - Stride Rite is expensive!
