Last weekend my mom had my dad's side of the family over to celebrate my cousin, Caroline's, engagement. Tessa was enamored with my other cousin's little girl, Ellie, and followed her around all evening. Ellie even "helped" Tessa up the stairs and they created a butterfly show for the adults (foam butterflies with sticky foam shapes as design). Bride-to-be Caroline was given the job of creating the butterflies.

Playing so well...

And my little pumpkin all by herself. Speaking of just my little pumpkin, we really need to do some sleep training again. Since moving into the twin bed, one of us has to sit in her room while she falls asleep, and she is really struggling to put herself back to sleep on her own. Last night she cried for an entire hour on her own in there (I did go in to put on her music and the lights that are displayed on the ceiling and to periodically reassure her). I finally asked her if she wanted to sleep on mommy and daddy's floor, which is what she ultimately did. Honestly, it was fine, because she laid right down on the blanket and pillow and slept until...drumroll please...5:30. 5:30 is actually pretty good of a wakeup time for her (sad, but true). We need more sleep in this house!
