My cousin Allison is now officially Mrs. Leland after the big wedding this weekend. Everything was beautiful from beginning to end and now the happy couple is honeymooning in Hilton Head. My brother, Mike, and sister-in-law Cortny were in town for the wedding, and it was nice hanging out with them as well, both at the wedding, Winton Woods, and hopefully very soon at our house. (They leave Wednesday morning). Here are a few pictures from the day:
Nate, me, Dan, Cortny, Mike, Mom and Dad.
And action shot of Nate "helping" me undo my hair. A male stylist did my up-do and boy was he forceful with the bobby pins...I have never been in such prolonged pain in my life. It sure was tight, but man...it hurt!!
All of the cousins and grandchildren (except Tessa) on my mom's side with Grandma. The little girl is Hana, my cousin's daughter, who was also one of the flower girls. She did a really good job walking down! Tessa stayed home with Nate's mom and was such a good girl for her Grandma.I can't believe July is almost over, which means the start of the next school year is on the horizon. I just ordered my first class in a box from the University of La Verne to start working on my masters plus 30 hours. I'm hoping to finish it by December so I can get the pay raise halfway through the year. Tessa and I also headed to Home Depot to pick up yet more paint. The ONLY thing left (that I foresee wanting to paint in the near future) is the two-story entry and the upstairs hallway. I was going to hire someone, but now that the time is actually here, I'm pretty sure we'll just do it ourselves. My friend Rochelle has one of those ladders that creates a platform at large heights, so we are going to borrow that and continue to be do-it-ourselfers!

Okay, so that's really weird. Chad and Eric went to CHCA for awhile together before Eric transferred to Loveland and Chad is good friends with another couple we know (Jenny and Jimmy...Jenny (who I think was in your cohort) dated Matt Henderson for awhile and knows your hubby). She's less than a month from her due date and was bummed not to make it to the wedding. What a small world. I never realized that Allison was your cousin when he talked about her and introduced us to her.
That is a small world...and I do know Jenny. And here's another funny thing about it... I walked down the aisle with Ashley Stollberg's husband. (And we did an awesome "touchdown" pass for our grand entrance).
Sweet! And weird that you walked down with Ashley's husband. Very small world. See you at Gymboree on Friday.
