Three Animal Statues and a Nice White Goat

I have this strange fear of taking Tessa to the zoo by myself. There are so many things that could go wrong...like when she refuses to go back in the stroller and then wants to run around and you have a toddler and a stroller with your belongings to watch. I know it is a strange, unjustified fear, and therefore today, I lost my going-to-the-zoo-alone-with-child virginity today. And it was way better than expected. We stayed for over two hours, saw most of the animals, and Tessa definitely had a lot of fun petting this goat (and another one, but I missed it in the picture taking process),
Riding on the seal (I think this one was her favorite because I didn't have to help her get on),
Sitting atop an elephant (thank you to the kind dad with his own two kids who took this picture for us),
And last but not least, the camel, which she (shockingly) declared, "MINE."
It is nice being home with Tessa again this week. I enjoyed my writing camp tremendously, but there's nothing like being at home with a little one! Have a great week.
