Tessa has just recently become obsessed with Barney. So much so, that I am already looking ahead to her birthday and thinking it might be the theme. Nate's mom bought her two Barney DVDs when she babysat Tessa a few weeks ago for my cousin Allison's weddings and Tessa runs to the T.V. shouting, "B!" every morning. It's actually one of the only ways to get her inside now (that, or offer her a dog treat to give to Lucy). She also does this awesomely cute fist pump/dance to the theme song and plays Ring around the Rosie when Barney, Baby Bop, and the kids do. I'm not a huge Barney fan myself. I recall watching hours of it when I used to babysit for a family in Fairfield. And now I have both episodes practically memorized...But it is nice to be able to get a few things done while she is watching it.
In other news, I think Nate is letting me hire a painter to finish the two-story entry and kitchen. Woo-hoo! My mom and I met a painter in line at Kings Island, so I sent him the measurements this morning. We also had a play date yesterday, where two of my neighbors were talking about painters who had done various jobs for them for fairly cheap, so I may have to get their numbers as well. I think U.L.V. stopped my painting progress...speaking of which, my last two classes are scheduled to arrive today and I really need to get cracking on them.
