And the summary of our trip...
I know, she is only 18-months old, but my dad received two free tickets to K.I. thanks to his platelet donations at the blood center. Today was the day. My mom and I loaded Tessa and her gear up and headed to the park right after her afternoon nap. I didn't know how much she'd be able to ride, nor if she would want to ride anything, but my worries were needless. She had a great time. There were several rides that she could ride with me, and a few that she could ride alone. Only one of these captured her interest. The cars. I tried to get a little girl in front of us to let Tessa ride with her, but she really wanted to ride in her own car and Tessa really wanted to ride it, so we strapped her in and off she went. She loved it, as you can see from the pictures. Tessa also rode a zebra and a white pony on the merry-go-round, and the Scooby Doo ride (for those of you who haven't been there in awhile, it is where Phantom Theatre used to be, and before that, the ever-famous Smurf ride). Perhaps the favorite part of the afternoon/evening was running through Spongebob's water playground. We must have gone through at least 15 times. You should have seen her running from the exit back around to the entrance each time. I thought I'd be able to go through it without getting too wet. I was very, very wrong. Thank goodness Grandma was there and bought a towel for us as we drenched ourselves. Afterwards, we took a relaxing train ride, and headed home. All in all, we had a great first trip to Kings Island. Fun was had by all and there were no meltdowns. It was definitely nice to have my mom there with me! I think next year we'll have to get passes.

I did a great job pushing the stroller. It was a fun day! And a reminder that those lazy, fun, and carefree days are about to end for all of us teachers out there.
Aww, it looks like you gals had so much fun! Tessa looks very grown up. Also, I was admiring your tan!
