Tessa is not a cuddler by any terms of the word. She is a child in motion and rarely cuddles with anyone, except occasionally me. So when I was in the kitchen the other day and came back into the family room to see this, I was shocked. My heart melted just a little bit, for my little T-Bird and for her wonderful daddy.

Another new thing with Tessa is that she insists on picking out her own clothes now. Sometimes she can be persuaded when given the choice between two outfits and I use a really excited voice for the one I want her to choose. But other times, like the one below, her choice is truly her own. This is what Tessa picked out for her pajamas..and in case you couldn't tell, the heart-print is actually a dress. Tessa didn't want to wear anything underneath it at all, but fortunately, I talked her into a onesie. I can only imagine what the teenage years are going to be like if we are already disagreeing about what she wears...

And this picture is one of several I took in a row. Every time I ask Tessa where her nose is, she sticks her finger UP her nostril. So gross! I kept trying to get a picture of it, but she was too quick...so here is Tessa with her finger freshly removed from the nostril. (And a sidenote that I'll definitely need to break this habit. I don't want her to be that kid in school who picks their nose. As a teacher, I know these kids exist all the way through middle school.)

I recall some dressing conflicts back in the 90"s with a certain daughter. Your brothers and father might agree. we will never forget Bebe!
Aw, Nate! That picture is sooo cute. Maybe she'll be a daddy's girl yet ;)
