Pathetic Mommy

Two nights ago it was rather quiet in the Palmer house. Tessa spent the night at my mom and dad's house (she really wanted to and had a blast). And you would think I would love it. But it was so quiet. Too quiet. While it was nice to get a few things done around the house (some cleaning and washing Morgan's 3-6 month clothes since he's about to go up a size) we both missed her terribly. I know, pathetic. In fact, it got worse when we went to bed and saw her empty bedroom (at least for me). I rushed over to get her in the morning and took Tessa to Parky's wet playground at Winton Woods, where we both had a blast until the meltdown that followed when we had to leave. We were going to go out to lunch, but the screaming nonstop due to the Pullup being too hard to put on (she was a little too wet still) led to screaming about shoes and who knows what else. Needless to say, a lunch trip out did not happen. Despite the meltdowns though, I wouldn't trade this little girl for anything. Moments like the video above make every meltdown worth it. Isn't this video hysterical? Ring Around the Rosie is her new favorite song (and the only song she really knows all the words to...)

And in other breaking and wonderful news...Morgan slept from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. last night, ate, and is thinking about going back to sleep. Let's hope he does!

Tessa had a great time with Grandma and PaPa. She can come anytime and it is okay to have some quiet. We sang ring around the rosie in the pool too.
