Most People Like to Sleep

Not Tessa.

Sleep...oh how Tessa needs more of it!  I have done so much research about how toddlers her age should be getting 11-12 hours of sleep at night.  Tessa typically gets about nine.   She has been refusing to go to bed before 8:30/9 and is up by 6.  It is very frustrating, because it makes her grumpy and she will not sleep any longer.  But, last night, was different.  We were at my parents' house for father's day and so she fell asleep in the car around 7:30...and at 6 am is still asleep.  It is a miracle!  Let's hope she's in a good mood today...the lack of sleep and the canines coming in just might make for a fun few days (note the sarcasm here) while Nate is in Florida.   Here's a few pics from the past couple days:
Tessa relishing in all the stuffed doggies at Great-Grandma's nursing home.
And Tessa with mommy in what I know are the most ridiculous pajamas in the whole world, but were free with one of those $10 JCPenney coupons because they were on clearance and Tessa was trying to run all over the store, which didn't really leave time for bargain hunting.  I apologize for the monster run-on, but of course, since I just talked about a good night of sleep, she is awake.  Duty calls...

All the residents at the nursing home loved to be entertained by Tessa. It lights up their faces when a little one is around.
