Tessa has never been a big fan of sleeping. She fights sleep endlessly...I think she feels like she's missing out on something when she is asleep. She is the only 17-month-old I know who still cries for every nap and every night when you put them down. We have just gotten used to it, I guess, and we know she is tired, and she does fall asleep...it just makes me sad knowing she has to cry to get to sleep. Except for yesterday. This was Tessa right after eating lunch, and boy was she tired. Near the end of the meal, she was chewing with her eyes closed and only opened them in order to grab another piece of food. Then they were closed again. It was hysterical, therefore I got out the video camera. She thought I was playing a game, but she did go to bed right afterwards, with very little crying.
