Love that Face!

A cute pic of Tessa and mommy.  Nate was in Florida until last night, and wanted daily pics.  This is one of those I took myself, kind of like I used to do while out in college.  Tessa found it quite funny to be photographed in this manner!

And Tuesday morning, we had a play date with Nate's friend from high school, Stephanie, and her little boy Frankie.  Tessa gladly showed Frankie around the Children's Museum, though Frankie preferred any and every push toy he could find.

On another note, there is something wrong with my dear daughter's sleep.  Yesterday, she was up, wide awake, at 4 am.  Did not go down for a nap until almost two.  LONG DAY!  She was in tears, I was in tears trying to get her to sleep-and we both took a great nap in the afternoon.  Ironically this morning, the smoke detector in her room has been chirping regularly since before 5 a.m.  It woke me and Nate up, and she is still sleeping at almost 7.  Go figure.  She wakes at 4 a.m. in perfect sleep conditions, and snoozes peacefully despite the high-pitched chirp.  But I'll take it.  I managed to get in a run on the treadmill and a shower this morning.  Perfect, as we are headed to the zoo at 9:00.
