We had a great time at the park with all of Tessa's friends from the babysitter's. Everyone met up at Cottell Park in Deerfield Township (which is an awesome park for those of you who haven't been there). Our sitter, Kelly, even came to see all the kids with two of her own, who loved playing with all the little ones. Tessa's favorite park activity today: the ducks...I swear I had to chase her down to the pond at least ten times, while she squealed, "Duck," over and over.
Tessa lasted an hour at the park (which I was impressed by) and then we came home, ate lunch, and went straight upstairs for a nap. I'm really trying to work on Tessa's sleep schedule, as something is not working for her (and thus us too). She has been napping well, but then REFUSES to go to sleep at night. Last night, she cried for an hour and half, and Nate and I did everything we could to get her to sleep. I even got in the crib again, which I hadn't done in a long time. Nothing worked. I did some reading, and most things I read suggested moving her nap time up earlier, which I did today. Let's hope the bedtime battle does not ensue this evening...it is so sad to hear her cry and see her upset, but let's face it...she needs her sleep!
